The transfer bug bites the Pittsburgh Panthers yet again, as Cam Johnson decided to abort mission and join the North Carolina Tar Heels.
Despite being a graduate of Pittsburgh, Cam Johnson has two eligible years to play ball as a graduate transfer. Due to a shoulder injury, he burned only two years of eligibility in his four-years.
However, because he’s not leaving the ACC, he will have to burn one of his eligible years and red shirt. Johnson and his family have been battling with the NCAA to overturn Pittsburgh’s strict transfer rules, but the university is confident that they have abided by NCAA regulations.
